Dern works right on the water near the park. He kites there often and usual post OSRs.
I believe it can be 10-12 m wind however having a bigger 15+ m kite ensures more sessions.
Dern kited there yesterday on a 15. |

I kite there alot. its 10 minutes from my house. Typically 14m or 12m. Rare its a over 24mph in summer. In winter it is windier. Is a super fun spot. In August normally it blows 20ish quite a bit.
Watch out for fisherman, very popular and crowded.
Lots of beach bathers
May people walking on sidewalk walking dogs.
I typically launch from the grass in the park unless its low tide.
Woodland lions park aka Martins Dock is also a good spot.
Kalama river road exit their is a beach behind steel mill, no people to watch out for, no fisherman, no dogs. Is a great alternative. Just watch out for goat head spikes that love poking holes in your bladder, keep on the lower water level sand.
Where ya workin in longview? Could hit Kalama with ya. _________________ *AIR PIRATES KITEBOARDING*
