Well it looks like the forecast for this weekend is looking pretty grim for holding a competition. Friday and Sunday also appear to be out as alternates. There may be just enough east wind to make it work on Saturday but it's not certain and easterlies bring a whole set of launching and landing issues at Stevenson.
We may have to postpone one week to August 11th or go with the easterlies on Saturday. We'll try to make the call tomorrow afternoon once we see what the forecast says. The latest we could make the call would be Friday at noon.
Any thoughts on competing in light easterlies (10 to 15 mph) versus postponing one week? If we postpone one week we only have Saturday the 11th to work with as the MaiTai group has an event at the waterfront in Stevenson on Sunday the 12th.

Please keep us posted. There are several people considering the drive from Seattle.
We will likely head to the coast if the event is postponed.
Hoping the event happens though. Last year we had easterlies on Saturday and made it happen.
