'riders in the sun' is more than frameworthy in my humble opinion.

Thanks Colby,
I am still struggling with figuring out how to make the photo's look really good for web posting.... ETHAN, help out a poor digital newbie with some photoshop hints! Your posted stuff always looks very clean. The high-resolution looks awesome, but it come out all dark and weak looking when I post them... Arrrggghhhh!
Bam... out!

It might be photoshop's own 'export for web' function that is the problem... try a photoshop export plugin on trial and see if you get better results...I've been using Ulead Smart Saver Pro and get a decent match between what I see on screen and the final picture...www.ulead.com

No problem, Bam, and thanks for the compliment! Here's a somewhat basic version of my Photoshop workflow...
1. Adjust Levels to obtain true blacks and whites.
2. Crop to desired size.
3. Adjust color with curves if necessary (plenty of online tutorials about this).
4. Unsharp Mask (USM) at radius .3 or .4 to whatever percentage necessary. This setting varies alot between cameras.
5. USM sharpen at radius 50 to 10 or 20% to increase contrast.
6. Adjust saturation as desired. For example to make a red kite really "pop", try increasing the saturation of reds in your image!
7. Save for web as .jpg
For 80-90% of my images, that's all there is to it! Also remember that the sharpening levels for publishing to the web are less than the sharpening levels for printing.
