best area kite schools / lessons?

Howdy,
I'm sorta new to the area (1yr) and am stoked to get into the kiting world. last summer I was laid up cuz of shoulder work and two jobs. Grrrrrrrr. Now I've got a real (cubicle) job and actually have days off. I need to get an early start on the season and am looking for recomendations of local schools / lessons. I know there are several schools in HR but learning on the bar looks scary. (I'd rather lean on the "bar") OK sorry about the lame pun. What are my options for learning in the area? Any info would be great, thanks!

Check out Jimmy Dorsey at Kiteboard Oregon... One of the few to exclusively use deep water teaching, and you might never have to step foot ontot he crowded sandbar or Sauvie's to learn how to kite.

The coast can be great for learning if you have a warm wetsuit. Steady winds and wide open empty beaches. The inlets and bays are flat and often shallow. Check out http://www.summerinseaside.com/ They work with certified instructors & Gorge Performance for gear.

I am 99% sure that http://www.kiteboardoregon.com/ is the outfit I was refering to on kiteforum who I have seen teaching students on boat assisted downwinders from Stevenson. Could not remember the name - thanks bammer

I would recommend giving them a call it looks like a very good approach.
