It's going to be light. I'll be at Del Ray or near by with DP towing Para Gliders.....

Call for On site if needed! Flydunes has a good grip on today's winds. Seems Jones, SI, and Stevenson are all scheduled for wind.

Iredale to just above sunset.
Really really really good.
Great waves--west swell combining with NW wind swell.
Water is warm.
El nino?
Fished all night--- beautiful night and a great day over here.
Definitely time to go to bed.

The afternoon wind today was fantastic; not holding my breath for tomorrow. Hopefully it's windy enough for a 12.

I was wondering for a long time why this location got almost no acknowledgment, and hence I have not tired it (yet). Glad you scored Thumb's Up
Care to post details of where you launch from?
I got nice 7m action at the Columbia ponds at Ft Stevens, followed by steady 14m sesh at Jones on the way back. So stoked

Netarts: Does it work best on incoming or outgoing tide? Any minimum tide required?

as you are heading to oceanside 2 miles from the city there is a street called happy camper rd. no joke Very Happy follow that to the parking lot and you will be facing shallow glass water on the left and breakers for a mile out on the right. i got there at low tide and rode till high no problems no bad currents.11 mtr NW wind. i think a nw wind will work better for the flats. in a north wind there will be a half mile walk on the beach to get to a good launch/good wind as there are hills north of where you will be when you park. edit found a really really crappy photo, taken today Embarassed too post this but this is from the parking lot. accidental double post same picture Confused

I agree.
So much for all the solo sessions like I had there over the years.

I have literally never ridden with anyone out there....which is so nice.
Let's hope it stays on the downlow.

Barfly PM me and I can let you in on an amazing flat butter spot that I have been riding alone for 2 years---if you can keep a secret.

Thank you perryj for sharing Very Happy Very Happy

For some reason there seems to be an element that thinks certain spots were put on this earth for them only, and are afraid to share with others.

I am sure that netarts will suddenly be overwhelmed with kiters, no doubt it will be worse than the sandbar on a holliday summer weekend now that the word is out Laughing Laughing

ooo, smarmy K4L. nice response. oceanside is not a secret it is just a little hole with some flatwater, great swell and funky wind. go set up camp there for all I care. know when to go, that is the secret. acting like it is some sort of unfound gem is annoying. forget google, search this site and you'll find videos, pictures and probably maps.

I was talking about the SHARKS anyway!!

blow me Twisted Evil
