The ION Photo Award is happening again this summer, June 12 & 13. The photos from 2006 were so amazing- check out the slideshow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpCXP3Mu2lQ
The rules are pretty much the same this year, and still be in touch if you have any questions.

There are a few simple rules:
1) All Photos must have been taken within 24 hours: Friday June 12th at 8pm till Saturday, June 13th at 9pm
2) All photos must have the ION logo (to be provided as stickers, shirts & hats)
3) 7 of the 10 photos must have team members in the photo (teams to include: photographers, athletes & models)
4) 5 of the 10 photos must include kite or windsurf equipment
5) Photos are submitted on disk or memory stick at the River City Saloon on Saturday, June 13th at 9pm

mo what are the terms of usage for the photos submitted in the contest?
ie- will ion maintain ad rights for all images or just the winning team? where will the shots be seen after the contest... what is the duration of image use if so... ect.

| ION is asking for the right to use the images for coverage of the event, ie. magazines, YouTube slideshow, etc. and for use on their website (currently as a montage!). In the event ION would like to use the image for an ad they will negotiate with you for the right to use it.

FYI, DJ Swoop just got up on a kiteboard for the first time, rode upwind first try, and learned sliding transitions on his second tack. Not to mention he kills it on the grinch with toeside backrolls off the kicker.
