| Anyone got the inside scoop on buying property in Hood River/The Gorge? I have been trying to track down the websites of the new condominiums in downtown Hood River.

Jodi and I noticed new condos in Mosier 6 miles from HR and the view looked amazing looking down the corridor, however, the tracks weren't too far away so noise might be an issue.

Is that the little island a couple miles west of Lyle? I know there's a few that look similar in the Gorge, but I've never really paid much attention. If so though, that'd be sweet during the summer. Downwinder to Lyle, then a LONG ride back upwind, home!

The island is located between HR and Mosier- but to tell you the truth it's be like living at a truck stop. The interstate rolls by and the noise is pretty intense.
Thought when it's blowin' who cares?

Thats Chicken Charlie island just west of mosier. Its been for sale for at least 5 years...
More condos- sigh......

Those condos sound spendy, I like condos though nice and easy, low impact on the surroundings. Not everybody's cup of tea though I understand that.
Actually ideally we could get a house so we have somewhere to stow the jetski.
If somebody knows of a cool place that is going up for sale (besides the island) please PM me. I have done some hunting around but its slim pickings unless I wanted a double wide, or an island.
