Hi,
Never been to Jones Beach. Is there camping nearby? Any other good tidbits for newcomers to the area, ie good food, other things to do? I have a small child but would like to get on the water for a bit, while the wife plays with the tot.
thanks,
Mark |

I've seen tents tucked into treed areas back from the beach. Just free-rough-car camping type stuff but one of the few places where you can camp right at the launch.
Clatskine has restaurants and stores and stuff and is 10mins away.
It can be dusty and noisy with all the AWDs buzzing around. |

Camping at Jones Beach? The freaks come out at night.
Good kiting inside Nuclear Alley though! |

There is a campgroung in Clatskane. I've heard of the freaks too but never any problem in about 5-6 nights spent there in the last 4 years. |

Speaking of Jones, keep an eye on it this afternoon... I think its our only chance of some good small kite riding in Oregon today. Then again, I am never sure of anything! |
