Here is the full sequence. Pretty good considering the wind speed was below 10. Thumb's Up

When your done with the kite loop and your back on your board, how do you get your hands back evenly on the bar and get your kite out of the kite loop death spiral???

As I'm sure you know, after you're done with the loop, you're going pretty fast downwind so the kite doesn't have much power in it. That gives you enough time with no (or at least light) pressure in the bar to recenter and lock back in your chicken loop.

That is if you land it and have nice board speed. Last night at Stevensburg I threw one a bit higher than planned and did the classic 1 1/2 to back splat. Hung on for two more loops before the arms gave out.

Otherwise, Adam is right on... To learn these without kicking your butt too badly..

1) Practice downloops and going downwind while looping your kite multiple times while hooked in.
2) Start riding unhooked and doing the same downwind kite looping.
3) Small jumps unhooked, and get your high looping/transition hooked in kite loops.
4) Small jumps where you basically stop with an unhooked kiteloop.
5) Slowly start getting balls and starting the loop lower and lower to the water. Eventually add a raley and start transfering both hands to one side of the bar.
6) Add the backroll with an unhooked kiteloop with both hands on one side of the bar.

Get ready for mayhem at first as the whip in the backroll is something that can't really be described. Start with that kite super high at first and then work it down to a REAL KITELOOP level. When you start getting the kite to pass under or at least the same height as your body, then you can claim it for real.

Adam, dude way to much posting today. Damn, I AM bored today at work.

Bam...out!
