I was pretty well powered on my 11m early on, then at 6 it died for a bit, but then came back (albeit lighter.) It was hard to tell how strong the wind really was because the current was REALLY strong. Staying upwind and wakestyle stuff was no problem.
Thanks to Lightwave Dave for the demo sesh on the 14 Globerider Sonic. Amazing amount of juice in the lightwinds.
Of course then I drop it when the wind is nearly nothing and I can't relaunch. Self rescue into the nudie beach, and then there is Dave to pick me up! He even bought me a beer at the Gorge Performance party.
If you have been looking to demo a flat kite, go find him in the Gorge this weekend. I think he said he'd be around the sandbar today/tommorrow, then further east (maybe Roosevelt) Sunday.
