Yeah, the gradients don't get much flatter. George is pretty optomistic for Manzo tomorrow. I would sure like to try smackin some lips out there.

PS the automatic login seems to be getting cleared when I reboot. It's supposed to persist isn't it?

I'm sure the gorge will deliver soon.

The fan has been on in SPI. Damn
wind just wont stop. 50% surf and
50% flat water. Even the poleboarders
had 2 days in the surf. I've spent
nearly $100 in Cab fares but once it
was $15 from access 6. 10 miles of
wave riding bliss lit on my 9. Some
of the best sets were well past the Tiki.

Riding the 124.

Alas! Not everywhere is glass!

The Gorge and SI were a bust but it looks like manzo/newport might be sailable right now at NW 14 and smallish swell. This gives me hope for tomorrow.

If the forecast looks hopeful in the morning I say round up the PDX posse and head West!

Yes, we must find wind! I'm hoping Rooster comes up tomorrow, but will take wind anywhere.

Going to have to share that spite with all the kiters down here right now.

But hey, if its any consolation, the wind looks lite today. Maybe Holly late.
Guess we'll all be dialing in our gear today.

Windslither, I'm no tech expert but generaly you must leave your tracks to stay logged in to any site. So that great habit you've developed of clearing the cache/cookies/history to keep the housemates clear of any unintentional porn surfing (geez hun, I was just looking at kite stuff when that dirty stuff just popped up from nowhere!) will also remove the cookie that identifies your slitheriness here.

Still waiting to get a 10 minute ride to when the Tstorm blows through today. Be ready or you'll miss it! BoomDzzzt.

Jones! Was only reading like 9mph when I decided I'd chance it, and it came up! Meter was only reading 12 or 13mph, but it was more like 18-20 on the water. Had my 13m fully depowered about half the time. The current was cooking too so that helped.

2.5 hour session! Just what the doctor ordered! Then the electrical light show started up and ended the fun. Confused

Just checked the webcams and it looks like peeps finally getting out in Hood River. Hope everyone got a little somethin today.

glad you caught jones...that place can be heavenly in the late afternoon, and just in time before a new work week starts! I'm keeping my eye on the event site for tmrw and may leave mid day around 1pm if it looks good. I worked all weekend around the house...being a good citizen and watching the wind change every few hours, but I don't think I can hold out another day....i'm a bonafide kite junkie and need my fix soon!

Yeah, i hear things can get pretty loopy in HR when the wind dies down for a few days. Got lucky enough to catch the tail end of the Jones sess with phil as well...only got about 45 minutes in, but it beats sitting around on the couch. I wish i could have brought the camera too, because those thunderstorms that closed out around 5:30 were putting on a pretty good show. Has anyone heard any stories of anyone getting struck by lightning while riding?? Seems like a wet kite would make one hell of a lightning rod...

Can't wait for those all-day sessions at Jones this summer. Wide open beach, rigs parked on the bank, warm weather, a supreme shortage of kooks, BBQing?? Sounds like something to look forward to to me....

I hear ya brother....

however, statistically, I would rather see these Sping type cloudy/SW'erly patters now than later in June. If June is cloudy, then the whole summer can suck.

The Gorge has been delivering sailability at least...

Remember too that most of the time you can just drive east until you hit sunshine. There have been times I have driven all the way up through The Dalles in pouring rain, and hit sunshine by the time I get to Rufus. Thumb's Up
