Dude, seriously? You make it sound like troops of beginners are just clammering for information, poor lost souls who wouldn't be able to fathom how to get started in this new and exciting sport if it wasn't for your dedicated direction. The fact of the matter is that their is loads of information out there and everything you have brought up has already been hashed, rehashed, put on the line to dry and presented again. Take Lessons ? WOW!! ground breaking information! Get a decent used kite first and see if you like the sport . HOLLY SHIT!! don't tell them all the secret information!! I mean come on everyone, how are people going to learn to KB in a safe and responsible way? It's not like their are kiteboarding schools anywhere.

I think you accusations of the forum being all about pictures of superstars and lost gear, etc are off base. You'll find that when someone posts a question on how to do something that allot of people will chime in and help. Just because we don't declare ourselves the leader of the newbs or publish kiteboarding self help novellas, doesn't mean we don't care or don't help out when people ask.
