Wed Jul 09, 08 7:52 pm Kiteboarders & Windsurfers town hall - Thurs July 10th |
|
|
This has been posted for a week now on the CGKA part of nwkite. The CGKA and CGWA have invited all to attend a town hall at the Port of HR offices boardroom tomorrow, Thursday at 7:30 PM. We invite people to discuss how kiteboarders and windsurfers can share the river and everyone have fun and be safe. Lets please put aside 4th of July access issues and focus on the positive side of watersports!
Then we have the next CGKA BOD meeting that is open to the public at the Spit Friday 7:00 PM.
Thanks,
Jim Grady

From the website: http://www.portofhoodriver.com/info/finding_us.php
| Quote: | | Port Offices are located at 1000 E Port Marina Drive in Port Marina Park (I-84 Exit 64) on east side of the Marina. Turn north at the bottom of the ramp. Turn left (west) at 4-way stop. Turn immediately right into the Marina parking lot. Port administration and maintenance services are in the Marina Center Building at the far north end of the parking lot. |

Please put in good words for us and tell the opposition to please stop the bickering, cause there is NO where on the HR waterfront that is accessable to kiters.....3 major big spots with room for the windsurfing community. I do both, however kiting has been a LOng time comming and it's not that the port didnt see it. This is a world class area for all kinds of sports, we as kiters bring in a LOT however. We could use the space.
I have to work tonight, so please put in a good word for me. |
