Wind looks good.
8ft swell Cool
I've been practicing my strapless surfboard in the gorge so I don't look quite so bad when I lose my shit at the coast.
Especially if I can hijack my dads strapped SB...

Manzo looks like goodness.
I also want a Ft Stevens downwinder.

My brother and I will most likely head to the coast and stay monday night.
Which days will you will you guys be where?

Does anybody know how full most campgrounds are right now? Ft. Stevens?
If I can camp at Ft. Stevens, than I will want to head there monday morning and kite there on monday, and either stay there or go to manzo on tuesday.
I'm up for suggestions based on who's going where.

I'd bring beer for the coasties, but I can't buy it for another week and a half... Crying or Very sad

Jason and I are heading to manzanita area most likely, but are willing to drive up north to hook up for relays. We are bringing our surf stuff to, but its looking like it would make for some good DW action. We are heading out sunday night from Hood River and will be there through tuesday.

Camping might be tough. Oswold is first come first serve so we will probably try there. Also, oregon state parks are having quite a few last minute cancellations due to high gas prices. Check reserveamerica.com for info. There should be a 1-800 number that will search every campsite for you for cancellations.

Any one wanting to hook up PM me your contact info!

I'm heading out now.
Going to Ft. Stevens, the website showed some available first come tent sites.
See you guys there!

I'll be the redhead guy with my redhead little brother and slingy gear.

Yeah! My third post. Im leaving Tue AM, early. Is Manzo the spot? I dont mind kiting alone but would rather get to know a crowd and be apart of some downwinders. Im new to the area but not new to kiting. Ill be there through Thursday AM.

Cheers!

Ft Stevens was awesome for the past few days.
Monday was amazing!

Just wanted to give a big thank you to Pro Motion!
They were there shuttling us around in their van for downwinders all day tues and wed.
That was awesome!
Really made my trip like 10x better.

Just got in from the long drive back from Ft. Stevens. A HUGE thanks to Dana from PRO MOTION and Brady out of Hood River with their kick ass kite pimp shuttle. Coast was well.... Epic! See you boys at the Games.

Andrew, nice to meet you and your brother Scott. You guys rocked it! Hope to see you two real soon.

Wally
