Once we figured out how to get on the roof we got the kite off in a matter of minutes.
Tak told me to straighten out the camera and spin the sensor around. I checked the camera when I got home and it seemed to be working just fine. Same thing with the sensor.
I am amazed that the mast, sensor and camera didn't get damaged. Adam's kite hit it hard. luckily the bridle caught the tip of the mast and then the kite flew like a flag until we got it off. No harm, no foul I guess.
Too bad no one got it on video. Adam's kite was flying perfectly on it's own right towards the building.

What time did you leave yesterday, Steve? It was getting pretty gnarly when we left ~6:30.

Just a few things. Alex almost plowed into Marc at full speed after touching down on a kiteloop. He only missed him by a foot or 2. Pretty sure Marc is traumatized now. While Ken was relaunching in the flat water (downwind of the rock), Carol got drug by backwards/unhooked, and nearly clipped his head (again missed withing a couple feet) with her board. A few minutes later, Tony's kite slammed down on Carol's head while she was relaunching further downwind.

In other news; you can now boost off the top deck with your board on as Nate and Jeff proved!

5:30.......but the important question-did you record any of that on video....I need some carnage mini-man!! (sorry I'm trying to fit you all into Jack Ass roles and it's either you or Tak) I gotta go with Shymac as Johnny Knoxville, any other ideas........ Laughing Laughing

Not sure if board leashes would have helped anyone's situation... Razz

yah i wuz a kook yesterday... Embarassed

Carol was down in the cove working on a relaunch so I thought I'd cruise down to say hi and make sure she still had her board. Ridin toe side and not paying attention, caught an edge, slammed down on my face, flipped to my back, looped the kite, went flying and slammed the kite down. Actually got lucky and missed Carol by about 3' feet.

Was a rough day at Stevie yesterday. Lots of sloppiness on the water. But we got some good crash footage from my parents! I'll get Carol to post some later today.

Tony

I was kooking out hard yesterday as well. Lost grip on the bar during a raley adn leash came detached at the same time... Bye bye kite Sad
After a run around, and long swim I got back to it, hooked in, and went bodydragging fro about half an hour to get back to the launch.

Also, the T2 bar doesn't float, making it near impossible to retrieve without swimming to the kite first.

No floatiness? That's bizarre, but good to know. Glad you got your kite back.
