| 5/4, no question, for a Coast newbie. You're about to experience a cold-water rinsing like you've never experienced before. But props for going; too many people come to the Gorge and ignore the Coast, which, in my opinion, is way sweeter. |

nice. i was looking at the NOAA forecast too which i usually go by and utilize here in utah. looked like someting might come up to ride over the weekend. i'm bringing all three kites, but it dosen't look like i'll need my 9.
well, i'll just check in as the weekend progresses. seems like nothing is a sure thing.
thanks landfilllonnie for the info! i appreciate all the help! if i see any of you, you can be assured the first round is on me!
i think i'm ready for the ocean. i've had a few surfing experinces and i'm hoping a kite will only reinforce those experiences. i've got hooked up with lincoln city surf for a board if the wind is up and i don't want to ride the twinnie. i'm sure i'll go through a few rinse cycles anyhow. if i didn't i wouldn't be pushing it!
thanks again! |

And there you have it. Who/what do you believe? You take all the info, put it all together, roll the dice, and hope for the best.

Here is another one I forgot. It has Roads End info as well as forecasts and radar on it as well. The wind meter is a little off the beach, so it is not a good indicator of what is going on in the ocean. |

should be windy and the heat may bring in the marine layer.
I usually wear a 4/3 to the beach all year with a hood and thumb holes if I get chilly.
It looks promising at the beach to escape the heat if nothing else.
Have a fun trip.... the waves should be relatively small , bad for me good for you.
Floras lake is a good spot to camp with hot showers and good vibes.
I also hear amazing things about fort stevens. |
