Been sneaking in some SUP sessions in the early AM before work, running from the Boatlaunch up to Wells Island and back.

If anyone's interested, I'll be trying to go out again on any of the mornings that are totally dead for wind.

Pepi

PM me if you need to borrow a board and I'll see what I can do.

Hey Jason:

I'll be down at the Boat Launch (next to the Event Site) at around 8:30am with a couple of other paddlers. I've got to get off the water by 9:45 so that I can open up the shop.
Come on down if you're in town.

Pepi

Is anyone SUPing on the local rivers?

The lower White Salmon has a nice standing wave for surfing.

We demo our SUP boards for $35/day, but must be returned before closing time at 6pm.

Took the demo boards out Friday afternoon before the wind came up, was awesome. Good fun and a great workout!

Got some really nice waves at P.C. (not in the line up) on my SUP big fun. If you want a cheap way to get into it I have a 12' sailboard you can have. Sailboard are a lot less stable then a real SUP but if you get good on them then your balance is ready for some real waves.

Pepi,

I saw you out yesterday, but it was sorta windy and I tried to kite. I'm down for a down patrol SUPing session, as long as it's not windy. Although we could kite on the SUPers, that'd be fun.

Give me a call or a text next time you go.

Big Winds also rents SUPs from the Event site for $25 for 2 hours. Great alternative to sitting around and waiting for the wind to pick up!!
