Looking like an Easterly day so maybe hunt around in the western gorge?
Don't know if Youngs will be worth the drive.
Sure am ready for a session! |

go to nws ,click on crater lake for saturday, thats where i'll be kiting. not on it but around the north side. google earth it and look for the two large snow fields(pumice) three feet of deep powder. it a bout 4 miles in to the first and 10 to the second. the trail in is groomed snowmobile road on the weekend. wednesday we were getting the long tracks stuck there was so much damn snow. thought I would share this jewel. hope to see some others up there, saftey in numbers. the beauty of the area is the road goes right through it and the snowmobiles cannot leave the road and track up these huge wide open snowfields. come get some.. |
