Joe Dolan and Eric Cohn would like to extend a heartfelt thanks for everyone who helped us out on our Windsports days.

On the windsurfing side, we had Bruce Peterson, Dale Cook, Sam Bauer, Brian--kind of like have Boston Celtics show up to help a 13 year old basketball team--countless parents who bbq'd for the kids, and of course BIG WINDS, which once again DONTATED THREE DAYS OF ALL GEAR AND WETSUITS FOR 45 kids!!!!!!

On the kiteboarding side, STEVE aka "Yardsale"--three days of 5+ hours dragging with kids in 56 degree water and 54 degree air--Deputy Mike Anderson and Tom Merriam, Slingshot Laura and her crew, Amery and SLINGSHOT for 3 days of unlimited use of T3's, Grant Young Bridgett Merriam, Elliot T. Sarah Raulston, Bob Raulston and...Andrew of New York City Subs for food!

Ty, Frank and crew from Bob Lanphere's Beaverton Yamaha for 3 full days of 4 waverunners with DRIVERS!!!!!! That's right, they drove up here with 4 waverunners and drivers and volunteered--AWESOME!!!!

And, of course DaKine, for the small mountain of gear they give us for our program.

The kids are just stoked! YOU all made this happen.

Cheers,

Eric and Joe,

Hood River County School District

Damn sounds great, big thanks to you Eric for your work on this over the years. Getting kids into this sport is a great way to keep pushing the sport forward. Definitely an area we could do more work on when you consider the PKRA roster is lacking big contenders from the U.S.

Lets hope the kids that have had a taste have supportive parents who invest in them and get them some good lessons and gear. Soccer moms gotta diversify a bit eh? Very Happy

The correct 3rd person singular past-tense conjugation of the of the verb "to think" is "thought" (F.Y.I.)

Careful there, professor Spike...

I have a feeling that you might be dealing with a grammatical ringer there... possibly, a "conditional perfect interrogative" where the "past participle",(possibly"thunk"), is the word in question.

Just a guess, on my part, but if you get some down time at work, today, maybe you could look into ....

Spike,

Are you too young to be a fan of "Leave it To Beaver"? Proper grammar should take a back seat to a term that honors a great show from the past.

No worries--honestly. Even thinking about helping is a nice way of supporting. After all. I get paid to be down there--instead of teaching the joys of algebra--for three days. It's another thing altogether for folks to take a vacation day, or an unpaid day to help out.

It's really great to see how Hood River supports all kids in pursuing really cool activities.
I wish I was in 8th grade and had a math teacher as cool as you!
