Newport on friday (6/6)

Hey just seeing if anybody is going to be out there friday probably at the south jetty. the forcast looks pretty good but the wind directions seems a little funky. anyways just seeing if theres gonna be anybody else planning on going out there.

yea the problem with sunday for me though is i've got finals starting on monday.

Not going to happen!! The computer models look like BS, and the swell is going to be giant storm surf on Friday. At $4 a gallon I think everyone should be much more calculating before jumping in the auto and pounding down the highway. With the internet and forecasting as good as it is these days we can all save a lot of money and fossil fuels by just being savvy with a computer and the web. Sad

actually, monday looks like the best near term hope for the coast. tomorrow looks like a total dog.

but still, when it really sets up you see 3-4 promising days in a row on the forecast. not sure what the deal is this year, it hasn't lined up hardly at all.

You'll notice the W or NW direction, chance of showers, and unsettled weather if you pay attention to the forecast. This is not classic South Jetty conditions and like Windian predicts will likely be total crud. But we'll let you know if it turns out to be good - ha ha!

yea i now have a meeting with tthe ol landlord on friday so i might be over there on sunday, just thought id check the forum to make sure i'm not alone out there. anyways hope to see you out there and share the stoke.
