I think one of my front lines was stretched bad, this happened upon launch. I was aiming to the water said kite decided to shoot straight up and backwards instead. My buddy said one of my lines was broken afterward, I don't know if this was from the crash though guess ill be inspecting my lines better from now on.

Bummer man, heal quick and well! Maybe Chanson can chime in with some advice for hand injuries and kiting.

Well after my kite shot up and back I was in the air 5 feet, landed 15 feet downwind and came down on my hand. Its an internal fracture the doctor said the fracture was in a direction that was abnormal or that she had not seen before. I see a specialist tomorrow. In the meantime I have perks and beer Razz P.S. Thanks all, Phil so what was the official outcome/decision about the ACL? Good luck with that too!

Hopefully that is a good thing.... in that it wont be an area that is under stress in everyday situations

I went and saw the specialist this morning he said its not so bad as they had told me in the ER; more of one the bones on the top of my hand.Six weeks, thats four by my count Very Happy no I'm more worried about my job doing damage than kiting.I do heavy construction carpentry they said they would put me on light duty for a while.

Sorry dude!
I broke my ankel two months ago at Lyle.

9m 20-30 or so.

My problem was not the kite or wind but my board. I landed rolling backwards with one foot in the board spinning my ankel in the oppisite direction I was rolling.

4 inch spiral fracture from the joint up on the fibula and I broke the Tibia ball clean off.

I'm out of the cast now and should be on the water in a week or so.

Hope it all works all for ya
