Video from the Rufus crew over Memorial day weekend.

3 out 4 days of flatwater 7-10m sessions.

Not sure what the current is but I am guessing it is 8kts+

http://www.vimeo.com/1090070

Sorry but the first 50 second is kiddie hula dancing.

cheers,

robin

Great Video!

Are you coming to the Rufus Rockpile Rodeo/CGKA campout on the 28th?

Your and your friends vibe is what we are after......kids included!

Also you should enter the Bridge of the Gods video contest, you have game!

Rufus is our weekend "A" plan so looking forward to the competition on the 28th!

A lot of people think that Rufus is sucks because of the rocky landscape . My opinion is that Rufus is the best because you can camp for free, launch within 10 feet of your car, curent makes 10knots 10m time, usually never crowded, and the swell can be sweet! On the downside, the wind can get as bad as the sandbar (ok maybe worse), you have to drive 40 miles further, and a drunk fisherman might ask you for a ride to town to get a six pack of Pabst.

I am just getting started with the video thing- shot the video using a Canon HV20 in 60i and edited in Vegas.

Need to upgrade the tripod as photo heads suck for panning.

btw- if you want to see a cool video (I did not shoot) that was shot with a $700 Canon HV20 camera without any special gear check this out:

You forgot to mention guys fishing off the point where we usually launch and yelling "We're trying to fucking fish here" as you're kiting by. Otherwise it's a great spot.

nice video!

I thought it was $15 bucks for the camping fee, $10 per-kite launch fee, and a 100+ yard walk to the launch? What's the deal? And the 5 hour drive?... that's $120 bucks in my land rover... Wink
