Sat May 31, 08 9:26 pm THANKS FOR HELP AT THE SANDBAR |
|
|
I've been kiting a while and thought that I had my stuff dialed in but ran into a problem today and a couple of guys dragged me in, grabbed my board and my kite and brought it in. One of them was rocking a gray kite and drove a Mercedes SUV. The other one was rocking a yellow/green rev.
Short of it was I crashed my kite while trying to jump. Part of the lines near my bar got wrapped around my leash. Kite started looping and couldn't get it to stop as I wasn't sure what the problem was when I went to relaunch. I ended up pulling out of my chicken loop but still couldn't get things dialed in because the kite had looped so many times already by that point.
You guys rock! Thanks for all the guys who take time out of their ridding to help out the wanna be kook!

I'd like to thank all the folks that help out a chap in need as well.
Trying to figure out this foil on water would be pretty freaky without knowing we can all count on each other. _________________ (>====<|> ---< |

I would like to thank Shaun for keeping an eye on my surf board after I broke my spreader bar hook and I was ripped from my board. Good to hear everyone is watching everyone else. Makes me feel a lot better about riding out there.
TIP: If your harness breaks, your kite leash can used as a temporary harness by wrapping it around your body and through your chicken loop until you get back to the beach. It's probably a good idea to carry a 4 foot section of line out there just in case too.
Great swell and tons of current at the bridge- WOW!!

I'd also like to thank the person who took my brand new Reef flops from the bottom of the ramp at the sandbar on Sunday. It was probably a mistake and it'd be great if they magically reappeared. There's nothing like coming back to the beach after a great sesson to find your gear missing. Actually I DON"T want to thank that person I want to kick the thieving rat bastard in the balls.
Thanks for letting me vent,
