Do I need a wetsuit? I have a 3/2 full 3/2 shorty, and board shorts, I'd really like to get out of my 6mil winter suit.
Also Does anyone know where to camp that's very nearby? |

You can camp right at the access - car camping only, although I have heard you can pitch a tent way back in the bushes.

Im pretty sure you won't need the 6 mil.
We've been getting Gorge winds the last three days: 30-40+ |

| Pitching a tent in the bushes is pretty hellacious. We did it and the wind blows hardest there at night, believe me! I had to get up numerous times to tie things down. Plus the park people discourage it if not prohibit camping because the area is a wildlife refuge. I was there in July or August and it was trunks temperature. Not sure about late May. I'd maybe bring a 3/2 and maybe a bit thicker suit just to be sure, and then a shorty in case its warmer - or just check with the bay area kiters on their forum...Have fun! |
