I would like head to Jones Beach but I want to avoid the 30. If I am going to be traveling on the north side of the river - what bridge do I cross over to get to Jones Beach?

I-5 north to Longview and take the Bridge across towards Rainer. Head North on 30.

Terramoto,

Why not just drive to Lyle and join the cleanup party, then kite there?

Onshore flow increases under upper level SW flow. Coast Range gradient will be strong in the afternoon and Jones beach should be the windiest spot. Stevenson to Hood River should see increasing west wind building to 19-23 late in the day. Eastern Gorge sites should be lighter. Coastal sites should be cloudy with light SW wind.

Highs in the mid 90s in The Gorge under sunny skies.

Water Temperature: Columbia River = 53 degree range.

Western: West wind 19-23 late in the day.

Central: West wind 19-23 late in the day.

Eastern: West wind 18-22 at Doug's in the evening, lighter wind farther east.

Work at Lyle in the A.M., kite there or the Spit after that, then head to the Royal party at the River City at 9:00. Wake up in HR and go to the Windance swap and sell all your gear. Go get all new 2008 gear. Go home with new gear and tell your wife how much safer you are going to be because you just got the safest latest gear available.

There you go, I just planed your weekend for you........See you there.
