I doubt if more things could conspire together to make planning saturday's KB activities any more difficult. Looks like Gorge wind will be decent west, but much later than originally forecasted. Everyone is forecasting heavy snowmelt and flooding..is the Lyle clean up going to be a bust? Not much to clean up if everything is under water.

IKS human calling for good sauvie PM (NE 14-18 and gusty) but the computer models and airnet (which is arguably the best Sauvie predictor) says save your gas, its not even going to be blowing north.

Then there is the coast with mild winds, decent swell and chance of white outs.

Any thoughts? Maybe we should go tubing?

Looks like Rooster or Stevenson easterlies today, central gorge westerlies tomorrow. I'd say very little chance of Sauvies today, maybe very late... (night kiting?) Very Happy

yup, it is a nutty forecast weekend. It's driving me crazy.
Yesterday, I ditched work early to get to SI. But I wasnt' sure if it would blow. THen my tire popped on Rt 30, and I was like: "maybe I should just go home". BUt I fixed it in less then 10 minutes, and raced there on the donut. And was rewarded. What a nice SI day, really steady wind, if light. kited for 2.5 hours until my toes were numb. The waters' still freezing.

Jones beach is forecast to blow, but the human forecast has been off quite a bit this week. Plus it's kinda in the opposite direction from Lyle.

Yeah, but Lyle is going to be underwater and now we are going to be able to hack away at vegetation.. Crying or Very sad

It seems to me that George always sprinkles in Sauvie 11-14 at the end of every forecast. If it turns east like airnet says its going to, no way for today. If it swings NE around 4-5 I may give it a go.
