If you want to get some food and hear some great rockin' blues before going to Dave's or come down after it gets busted again, hopefully not, or if you have an overflow Dave, come down to the Trillium Cafe, right across the street from 2nd Wind and hear local favorites the Tess Barr Blues Band. Hood River's own female blues belter and husband kiter Cap on slide guitar. We'll be playing for the Pray for Wind Party this year too. We'll be starting at 8:00 and play until they're done dancing. Toby from kiteforum.com along with the Noble Kite crew is expected to show up to hear us. We'll send them to Dave's too.
Wow it was great at the White Salmon Bridge yesterday. We were R&D'n a brand new kite from Windwing. It was a 12M when I normally would have been on a 9M. It was still controllable and stable. Fastest turning 12 I've ever flown. I really freaked some people out who didn't know I knew him, when I was racing John, the owner of Windwing, who was windsurfing and I was almost touching his mast with the kite most of the way across. It felt a lot like Summer out there.
