Did yours come with a hook knife? I just got one and no knife, last year they came with one. |

| yeah no knife. guess i'm not really missing it. i think my first harness from 2001 came with a knife. there was more of a need for one back then. I guess you can never be tooo safe. i'm sure you can get one for cheap somewhere. |

Maybe I'll have to cash in that 200$ GP store credit - those Mystics look sweet. I wonder if they changed the design - alot of people seemed to have rib issues w/ the 07 model.  Does GP have LF gear? I realy like the hande pass quick release on thier 08 model? |

| The '07 and '08 Warrior look and feel pretty similar to me. There are several changes, but the most noticable is in the speader bar's pad (though I doubt they'll prevent rib injuries). |

Hey Chris,
The '08 LF harness was really comfy when I tried it. It also felt like the spreader bar was a lot less likely to unclip than the Mystic (which happens to me if I ride toeside too hard). Also, the handlepass loop on the LF harness is way nicer than the Mystic in my opinion. I had some bad luck trying handlepasses on my second day using the LF harness. Apparently the handlepass loop quick release wasn't tightened all the way (should've checked before starting to use the harness I guess) and during a botched pass it accidentally released letting my kite go. I talked to some friends with same harness who haven't had this issue so I think it was bad luck combined with my carelessness. I'll switch harnesses soon. Just wanna try the LF harness again in a safe spot to double check that I won't have any problems.
If you like the '06 LF harness then you'll be really stoked on the '08 one. Combine that with a big price difference with the Mystic harnesses and I think you have your answer. You're welcome to test ride mine if you want. I was honestly disappointed with the performance of the Mystic Firestarter for the price. They're pretty decent harnesses, but should cost a lot less. |
