Mon Apr 21, 08 6:56 am Quick board question... |
|
|
OK, I'm looking at two boards for my trick/flat water/big wind deck, a 2005 Underground 132 and a 2007 129 Naish Haze. I have a 139 Spark as my current board and would like to keep it around as a light wind deck. I'm about 175 and I was wondering what deck would work better for typical gorge conditions. _________________ Let's go kite. |

Thanks for the tip, I love LF wakeboards. I'm on a budget though, and I can't seem to find any deals on LF stuff right now. _________________ Let's go kite. |

If you're looking for a trick board, go for something short and square. You want those square tips so that the board has extra surface area to push against when popping.
The Haze is a good board, but your probably going to want something a bit stiffer like the Thorn if you want a Naish board. I'd also go with the 129 size since you've already stated you want it for higher wind.
I think you'd be happy on the Underground board too, but 132 seems a bit big for what you've stated you want it for.
The recoil 130 is a sick board too and you could find last years at an incredible price. Couple that with some Luxury foot straps and you'll be riding a really nice board that pops well and lands well. |

That's exactly the top of what I'd like to spend, maybe up to $450 if it's extra-dope. I need a new harness as well and I'm trying to pay for everything with my stimulus check, lol. Anyone know if 2nd wind has some good stuff right now? _________________ Let's go kite. |

2nd Wind has quite a bit of stuff and might give you a deal on a board/harness package if you ask. Might want to ask about last year's Lunacy as well.
Give them a call, they open at 10AM. 541-386-4464 |

Forrest, thanks for the info, that will really help me narrow down my choices. I'll holler at 2nd wind and see what they can do for me. _________________ Let's go kite. |

Also, be sure to let them know you're trying to maximize the use of your stimulus check! |
