Mon Apr 07, 08 12:29 am Aaargh Dangle pass. |
|
|
What a frustrating move. I went out a few days ago and after months of trying, nailed Danglepass after Danglepass, well powered on a 9m Fuel. The following day only managed to get about 50% and then yesterday only passed the bar about once. One theory is , I was just getting more and more tired . Has anyone else got any theories why it would all just disappear after months of trying and finally succeeding only to start failing again. PLEASE HELP |

I thought everyone drank beer and watched Dvd's through the winter, although I haven't stopped Kitin. Maybe it's just the extra layers of rash vests tryin to keep warm. But it didn't restrict me on day one of the three.
I'll have a word with the girlfriend about gettin layed more often and see what she says. |

I think its with "variety"
do you have a practice bar setup? I've been using one all winter, They really help dial in the technique. Its become a lot easier for me now, I can tell the shoulder/arm muscles are gettin stronger.
could have been beginners luck, Made you think it was easy. Now go back and break it all down to a step by step sequence, try to figure out what "step" you need to improve on.
for flat 3's-I had to break it down and get the timing of the pass to the timing of the landing. I kept concentrating on the pass, without spotting my landing.
or just go on a red-bull diet, and watch only richard simons workout vids. _________________ I stretch my wings and pull the strings |

Hi Sol-Flyer, I too, have had a practice bar set up and feel it has helped although it has taken LOTS and LOTS of attempts before I "thought" I had nailed em on the water But I think your right, I'll break it down again and concentrate on something different each time.
pdxmonkeyboy, that's some rough sex buddy, no more of that since the last time she pulled it out and the only time I'll wear rubber now is on the water, to much chaffing ! [/quote] |

and i thought this post was going to be about pirates hangin' from the yardarms! arrrrrrgh!!!
I've had the same thing happen as well. (not on a dangle pass though!) First time throwing something on a particular day and it goes great, then gets progressively worse as I over analyze it on succeeding attempts and I get down to about 30% success rate. I don't think it's from getting tired but maybe more from rushing the steps. Or maybe the first one out I visualize more the whole sequence of what I'm going to do but then the later ones I get stuck in the details. Or maybe I'm not afraid until after I throw and land the first one then I realize just how bad it could be if I screw up the next landing. Doubt is a terrible thing to have in the back of your mind!

you might as well just quit doing dangle passes. That should solve your problem. And prolly help with the ladies 2. _________________ I heart dangling |
