this photo defies categorization... maybe my favorite I've seen... brilliant job Jim Semlor (and rider Joe.) Might need a wildcard category next year for shots like this one...

The shot from Bam is really beautiful. Perfect light. The photograph definitely holds a mood, which I like. I put together a DVD for some of my relatives/friends of some of my shots from this summer and stumbled upon a few sweet shots from Squamish. I was so busy 'working' that I never really looked through the stock. That place is simply amazing...too bad that water is so frickin cold..I love the water fall in the background of this shot..I completely forgot I took this until I was looking through the files...Happy New Year..Enjoy

I really love black and white, but it doesn't often make sense in kiting since the kites are so colorful, in contrast to the water, etc. But, every now and then a really cool shot appears where it's more about the composition and light than about color. This was my last shot from the Squamish shoot...what a way to end that experience...
