finally got my eye healed and returned to ventana to pick up all the gear i left in january. not a huge amount of wind on the 5 day trip but got lucky one day with a pacific side canejo wave session. bunch of ventana guys made the trip. thanks to captain kirk for rallying the troops. i was on a 13 rev and a 137 sx. will need to dial in the SST for this summer at the coast and next winter's baja trips. sorry for the low quality, pics were from a little cannon elph camera. great waves! i have a couple of avi vids from the session but not sure how to post them. can't wait to get back.

Does anybody know how cosistant the wind is on the pacific side and its seasonalaity? Seems to me you would have more consistant wind in the spring and summer months. I know thats when Punta San Carlos goes off, but does that hold true for south baja?

yeah JP, winds are like clockwork from the NW all spring/summer.
great to see some pics of P. Conejo. Used to love this place about 15 years ago for surfing... prior to my kiting days. We used to hate when the wind came up late morning and blew all day until sunset!! The wind phenomen on the pacific side of baja is actually the main reason why I initially gave kiting a look a few years back. Indeed, kiting is THE answer to the wind problem for surfers.
