I know this is an old topic but the oregonian is running a new story on it. I dont think this would be nice to like at while kiting Stevenson + all the traffic from PDX.

For those who have not seen the proposed site, I would recommend checking it out. It is a beautiful, undeveloped area just east of Cascade Locks proper, used mostly by fishermen. Esther and I often picnic there at a nice grassy clearing in the trees atop a 60ft rocky face overlooking the water and the gorge. PERFECT picnic spot after a day of kiting, and a couple of nice cliff jumps too Very Happy
