Coast this weekend?

I am thinking of hitting up Manzanita or Ft. Stevens. What wind directions should I be looking for? Any advice appreciated.
I am using the NOAA website to forecast. Anything better?

the coast is pretty much north/south, so whichever way the wind is blowing, any E is bad.

north is ideal, but south can work, you just usually have to put up with some rain, and winds that can turn off pretty quickly.

I think winds strong enough to kite are going to be south for a little while longer. I use this forecast along with others. The particular link is for Newport, but they may have a free one for manzanita too.

it doesn't look too promising right now...

i drove from HR to PDX today around 3-4ish and it was glassy the whole way.
