Don’t know if the word is out yet…….but WINDANCE in Hood River is now open with a new owner “Dave Nunn” and is getting stocked day by day with Kiteboarding and Windsurfing gear…

Some deals on T2’s….(should be priced right) Wink

Stop by and say hi, see what’s up!

I just see the same "Classified: Details coming soon!" when I try to open any of the information. I guess you could call it flash powered madness....
Am I missing something?

This is not a sales advertisement, but since this post has come up, it might be a good time to post to the group that Slingshot made a decision this Fall to open up a second Slingshot dealer in Hood River.

2nd Wind Sports is still the key dealer in town for Slingshot kites and all parts/accessories. In addition to Slingshot, we'll be representing Liquid Force, Nobile, Royal, Mystic and Fanatic.

We very much appreciate the support from our local kiters and will continue to service all your local kiteboarding needs.

Thanks
Pepi, Erica and your 2nd Wind Crew

oops. I thought that since there seemed to be a new intro page, all the links would work. So I guess it is still classified.

Which is a better light wind kite? Rev or T2/3?

Couldn't really tell you about the t3. I know that the T2 has quite a bit of low end. The rev really likes to generate apparent wind and flies really fast so it is good in light wind as well.

I got a completely new quiver this year and my light wind kite really came down to price. I mean, do you want to spend $1,500 on a light wind kite? After all, lightwind kiting can only be soo much fun. You can pick up a brand new or used T2 on the cheap and that always appeals to me.

My quiver for taking it all in 08':

Rev 9 and 11.. I'm not joe pro but I love how fast this kite is and how smooth and consistent the power is. Just enough depower and much more "slippery" in the window than other bows/hybrids. The 9 and 11 will be mainstays in the gorge and will keep me going most of the time when combined with my fuse.

TD2- 14. This will be the "I drove all the way here, I'm going kiting dammit kite". Good low end, great light wind performance. I don't dig on the pulley bar..but..whatever, nothing is perfect. De-powers allot so should be good in the waves.

Geez, looks like I will need a SS window decal this year. LOL

Thanks, Monkeyboy. Good point about the $$ for a light wind kite. I just bought the 9m rev and am going to make a decision between the 7m or 11m for Rev#2. At 190, the 9m should get me into pretty strong winds at the Gorge so I'd probably get more use out of the 11m. Too many choices. I like your quiver...that's exactly what I'm thinking.

I am hovering around 200lbs myself so that is why I went with the 9,11 combo. It takes allot of wind to push me into the 7m range. That usually happens in the fall at rooster. In the past I just made do with my 9m crossbow in winds up to 35k but I'm not sure I want to push the REV that far.

I have a very lazy eye on the lookout for a used 07' waroo 7m. Once I get that, I will not have to look at buying another kite for at least 2 years. (and that will be a relief).

My buddy Warren has a demo. Only flew it for a short time and has not written a full write-up yet. Likes the 2-1 much better than 1-1, though. Said the new bar was fantastic.

KT,

That is, indeed, Mr Fuller. He is our local kiting ironman around here, regularly scoring 150 days/500 hours of kiting per year. (In his mid-60s, I might add....)
