Thought I would keep everyone informed as to some of the ongoings with Stevenson launch and parking area.

After several meetings with the port and staff, we are making good progress. Look for one of our first projects to be a Beach clean. Stay tuned for the exact date. We are trying to schedule it for the "draw down" of the river. The river will be at a very low level. This will allow us to move some rocks around and clean up some brush.

Some of the stickers and bushes next to the parking lot have been removed. Top soil and grass will be planted in its place.

Stay tuned for more....

Remember to join/ renew your membership with the CGKA. This money and our time will help make this and all launches better.

Nice job Mark! Glad to see you are getting off to a good start with Karl and crew. I'm sure he will have several projects we can help with over the season. Great to see we are getting the Port of Skamania to see the benefit of a partnership with CGKA - like the Port of Hood River now shows us time and again!

No, Those are intregal to the stability of the hill.
The bushes that have been pulled are in the west end of the parking lot. This will make for extra rigging room.

Glad to see people are willing to help! Lets "take it all in 08"

If you have special talents... or expertise please pm me with you phone number and what you can offer. We may call on you to help.
(Engineers, eco paper pushers, heavy equipment, whatever, ???)
Thanks again
Mark

Ummm, who said that? Indigo bushes have tap roots yes, but those slopes were constructed and stayed put long before those invasive shrubs showed up.
