Hey scartch

I grew up about 30 min north of cape D and went to high school in Ilwaco. Kiting is kind of hit and miss in that area, but definitely doable. For as many times as I was able to kite Long Beach, Ocean Park or Klipsan I would take an equal amount of sessions further south or east.

Fort Stevens, Sunset and Manzanita in Oregon are all not too far away, and Jones Beach is just an hour and a half east. It was always very likely that if the peninsula was dead calm for wind, one of these other places would be going off.

General rules: if it's clear and calm, go south. If it's foggy and nice in Portland, go east.
