how do your think a 17m fuel would be for a light wind Sauvie kite? Right now my quiver seems to be 9 and 13 Rev. I HATE driving to sauvie and not even getting wet, saw a good deal on a 17m 06 fuel. never tried a fuel that big.

Thoughts?

If your going to go with a closeout "C" kite, then an 18m2 Machine would likely be a better choice than the 17Fuel. The Machine has less drag, better power range (remember this kite has mini battens in place of full length struts). There's a reason why there are so many 17m2 Fuel kites at such a cheap closeout price, same goes with the Machine, but the Machine is the way to go if you are supersizing things.
Plus, like Henry said, get a Glide.

Pepi are you saying the Rev relaunches better than the T2? Also which one is more stable in the air?

The T2s should still be "easier" to relaunch, being a a true bow (even though the REVs are VERY good). That's talking more from a first time relaunch on the kites. Once you get used to the REVs, I'm sure you could be just as fast (really just need to know which way to flip them to get up fast). And the T2s are definately more "solid" in the air, but I like the twitchiness/quickness of the REV.

I felt that the REV's released from the water a bit quicker than the T2 kite, but that does not mean that the T2 kites had any relaunch issues (although a shortening of the bridles on the T3 will make a world of difference in improving the performance of the kite).
As for stability, both kites had about the same stability. The biggest difference was primarily felt via the bar pressure. The REV is more responsive in 'direct' feel with the kite, while the T2 has a bit duller feel with the kite, probably as a result of the pulleys and extended bowkite wingtips.

Again, both kites seem to have a similar windrange and stability, it is mainly a difference in leash system, quickness, pull in the turns and pop that seperates the REV from the T2.
