Beleve it or not it's hot in the gorge in the summer and the water is not south pacific warm, but it gets into the 70s. Do bring the wetsuit for the coast though, 5mmx3mm works there all year round.

I've got a carafino foil...I will post a pic as soon as I get it out of the cam. I had it out for 40 mins...man it is hard...I well underpowered though, and then the wind completely shut off...so that didn;t make it any easier, but I will take out again once I am done with work..in a few days...

my first 30 minutes on the board was a complete failue. I partially blame the wind dying...which it did, and partially that I don't have the stock footstraps yet, and the ones I put on seemed to not be balanced on the board, so it would turn..well I actually gybed it so it might have to do with that Smile

anyhoo..here are a pic of the baby..I have no idea where to put it. Right now it set on the dining table, but the missus is starting to growl about it.. Smile

..and then I add a pic of the 6'1'' just because it is sooo good... Smile

Hey Alex, stick with the foil. You will get it sooner or later. I watching a bunch of riders fail to even get on plane when they demoed the Carafino down in Baja(including Dimitri). Let us know how it goes.

why not turn it into the dining table?

Saturday night: trying to integrate pressure measurements over the chord length of an airfoil to compare theoretical to experimental values. In case you're really curious, no, they don't match up Sad

This is the shit that goes into designing these things

For sure..I had it planing, and I even glided over the 2 feet chop that came at me..but only for a very short time. very funky feeling for sure. It is sort of delayed riding, but when something happens it happens so so fast...

I don't give up very easily. Smile

Amsterdam is awesome. Super nice city, except in the fall...when the cold wind kicks in. Lived there for 2 years, and I'm not even close to being done with that city. Sigh.

From a nerd to other nerds. It is okay to be nerdy. It is all good.
I should start posting my PERL signature. People wouldn't talk to me any more.

Had a sucky SUP session today. Too much wind...and too small waves. Smile
Good to get in the water any how.
