Kramer and I found a decent spot that is on the left side of the highway when your heading up to the mountain. It is the first snow park turnout after you pass...ummm...The inn at the seventh mountain I think. It's about a half a mile past one of resort communties anyways.

You turn in, travel about 100 yards, and then vier to the right. There is a big wide open space that I think is some kind of gravel depositing place that is surrounded on many sides by a small berm.

like other said, the wind is going to be a problem.

There are a few options with better wind around tetherow, the new golf resort. It's on the north side of century drive (the highway to the mountain) before you get to Widgi creek.

Will work on SW wind, but best on S. Issue is snow coverage at the lower elevation, but we had just enough last weekend.

Dutchman flats has never worked for me...very fluky mountain wind. Had a good ses on tetherow today...not sure how friendly the resort will be to kiters over the winter, just got some strange looks and waves today.

Nice SSW 10-15 gusting to 30+ out on the 7. Will post pics in a while

wonder how many speed glide off in winter?? you can snowmobile up to the trees / catch line on the back of the summit pretty south facing to...but never seen good wind there while having equipment.

unless you sol flier consistant snowkiting is a chase in the state of oregon.

a few good days a year for sure if you watch it.

more exploration will bring in more information and some spots have to work . paulina and steens or those wallowas. go explore.

carbonate it natural. Twisted Evil
