I spent a few months in Columbia about 10 years ago, back before I'd ever heard of kiteboarding. Cartagena was great for windsurfing, as was the whole coast to the east of Cartagena. Lots of sandy beaches and consistent wind.
There was a small group of locals that windsurfed right at the Boca Grande part of town. They had a little club house where you could leave gear rigged up right next beach for $20/month. We'd sail, drink some beer, eat some arepas have some aguardiente. Ah, those were the days...livin' large.
I'm sure those guys are all kiting now. That area would be great for kiting. |
