| Best of luck if you can even launch with on shore winds and crankin current. No real room to launch anyway. If you must go, try the airport with offshore winds. |

Yeah I showed up there... Looked around and it was unreal. Not at all like when I have tried to get out from there before (and those times weren't much good). Thought about heading over to beach across the way at PDX but was worried about getting back upwind incase there was a wind shadow from the bank.
Has anyone launched from there with winds out of the south?

Frenchmans Bar was probably a better bet. It was extremely gusty. I should have worn gloves despite the air temps being in the 50's wet hands got cold really fast.
Still i got my first Columbia session of '08!
If you decide to try and kite any more winter winds around Vancouver pm me and i'll try and join you (or launch you and laugh!!) |
