Excellent 2+ hour session w/ Spike and TinyE on the Siletz. Water temp. 47, air temp 46 - no gloves or boots necessary. Wind didn't come up until noon or so, South shifting west. There was rain at first w/ high South wind, but after 1:00 it stopped raining, and there was even a little sun! Had the 9 Waroo up for two tacks b4 it lulled and decided to switch to the 13m the rest of the day. Tacks across the bay over to Mo's - lots of fun! Totally sore!

After Fern Ridge the coast felt like Hawaii!
The ocean water was coming in which was probably warmer yet.

Yes, I'm really surprised how good the Westerlies have been at the Siletz. Too bad winter break is over this week!  |
