Anyone have an inside line on when Heather Canyon should open? Its been dumping 10 inches a day for several days now, with more in the forecast. Base is almost 100 inches. I want some steep and deep!

Btw, yesterday was sick up at Meadows. Lots of freshies, plus we ran into quite a few kiters (seems to happen everytime up there.)

I've been to skibowl several times in the past few days. The snow there is sweet. Yesterday we were laying fresh tracks in waist deep pow off of everything on the upper bowls. I suppose if you have the pass at meadows you wouldn't bother w/ skibowl. But if you don't, it is only $33 bucks. It is hard to beat w/ the snow this good.

YEs, it was SICK yesterday--Sorry I missed you guys-- but it was so SICK!
rode from 8:45-3-- The scoop on heather is: they need 2+ weeks of 70"-80" at least--or more before they will open it. Complete coverage is needed and the whole area need to be stable and covered due to injury & liability issues. However, the snow bridges are in! Twisted Evil (guess how I know) and soon, like in a week-or two it may open. Private Reserve was open yesterday (that is part of heather) Did anyone else get any of that? It was epic--

Trevor and I went in the second gate to Private and it was a total nightmare. The bridges over the creek were tiny and scary, plus it was nasty post hole hike out. I hear the upper entrance was a lot better.

Forget all this powder, give me a park!
