might sound kinda strange but i was wondering about the tide effect in the gorge......im thinking down near the ocean you would feel it more than say the hood....????with the dams..and smaller streams and rivers feeding in was wondering where the push and pull stops.....if it does ect any links or info would be nice ,,,,,i understand the water level moves up and down with the flood gates...but can you feel tides way east??????? |

Definitely a tidal effect, if you have ever been to Sauvies on a reverse current day you know what its like. Its much more apparent in the late summer and fall then in the spring when the river is high.
Pretty hard to predict though, seems to lag the actual tides 6-7 hours, but all that depends on how much river flow there is. |
