Snowkiting Island Park

Is anyone interested in carpooling over to Island Park this weekend for some snowkiting?

Last weekend there were at least 3 groups of people from The Gorge/Portland snowkiting at Skyline in some sweet powder. Aaron was going huge. 10plus second jumps.

Let's represent and hit it.

Island park is in Idaho. There are people who are hitting it with 9's and 11's. However, from PDX its about an 11 and a half hour drive according to mapquest.

Island park is in the northeast tip of idaho. Right on the border of wyoming and montana.It is a haul.Went there last year and I think it was about a 12 hour drive. Awesome spot. Long drive for a weekend run.

Island Park is worth the drive, the Ozone crew is pulling together a great event, probably 50+ snowkiters attending from Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah and Colorado. The snow conditions are great and the wind forecast is excellent, The Montana Kite Sports Crew will be there through Monday.

You could hit Mt Haggin, MT on the over and the way back.
