Frickin' money hungry ambulance chasing lawyers! Is there anyway to sue them for stupidity and needlessly tangling up the justice system? You read the article and it really seems like it was a fluke accident. Experienced, athletic, well equiped but something happened that is not the town's fault. What should they have done? Followed him around in a boat in case he crashed? Stuff like this makes my blood boil. |

(not trying to be offensive)
it would be a shame if my wife did that. I would be rolling over in my grave.
why would she blame the city? obviously he's a kite addict and was willing to die for that passion. I sometimes contimplate if i am willing to do the same....yes! sure he might have made a mistake in thinkin he was protected from the elements, I think of it as what your willing to risk for what you love.
honor the fallen,

Uh, so a bunch of kiters raise money to send his body home. Then his widow repays the kiting community by getting kiteboarding banned at the beach because its too dangerous?
Gee thanks. |

"U.S. Coast Guard officials said water had apparently filled Popow's dry suit when his body was discovered about two miles southeast of Stratford Point."
I still question the safety of dry suits.
maybe she should sue the maker of the suit |
