in a 5' 9"-10" for kiting in swells or small waves @ 200#'s

what qualities from the different models ( squash tail, squash quad, round squash or tuna fish ) do you like best in those conditions?

For your size I wouldnt go much smaller than 5'5". The boards are custom so we can make the tail wider, rails fuller, dome the deck etc. I've been riding a 5'5" quad squash in the river and a 6'0 round squash in the ocean. I love my 5'5" in the ocean also. The tuna fish is the easyist to learn to jibe and get up on a plane but is limited in the high performance range once you get over 5'3". One of our best team riders swears by the tuna fish. So its a personal thing: your riding style, what you want to do on the wave, where you ride, etc. Thats the nice thing about custom boards. You can work with the shaper and get what works best for you. Demoing is the best way to find out what you like. tuff time of the year for that. If you were going to ride in the river on good swell days and at the coast on head highish then maybe a 5'8" round squash would be good for you. If your in the river more, take a few inches off. check out the web site www.northpacificsurf.com

Thanks Sean!

I think you or Art just finished shaping my board.

Just wondering if any other owners of these great boards wanted to chime in seeing as they are such well crafted boards for our conditions
