With over a foot of new snow in the foothills of Hood River, Cory Roesler, Quinn Nieland, Nick Stone and I decided to head to the Radio Tower on the East Hill of Hood River. The snow was wet and the rain was coming down but what the hell? I was expecting a West wind but surprisingly after the half mile hike to the ridge, there was an easterly flow from 4-8 knots. Nothing too exhilarating but enough to make some fresh tracks. Well worth the soggy boots and one more hood River location discovered.

Good stuff Aaron! The rest of the NW crew was out at Dalles Mountain. Same wet snow, but a solid 25-30. 7/9m REVs and Waroos and a psycho 9m Ranger!

Sweet! Appreciate the info Aaron! Any tips you have for us newbie NW snowkiters would be appreciated. I am pretty impressed by the potential of the Dalles Mt spot, but I'm unsure how often conditions will line up for it to be good.
At least its great to know snowkiting is possible right here!
