I'm heading to Costa Rica for a couple of weeks, and I am looking for advice on where to stay in Bahia Salinas (not too many options). We are probably going to check out Arnal for a day or two, then head down towards Jaco. Any advice is appreciated! |

My mom lives in Costa Rica and I have been down there kiting twice, the place to go is Playa Copal, the wind rips take your small kites.

We booked through the Kite House guys:

The Kite House itself is right on the beach. We didn't stay in the actual kite house though, instead we got Villa Dermi B which was just up the hill a bit. Pretty sweet, had its own pool!
There is one guy who owns the whole area there, and I think you can get any of his places through the Kite House folks.
Wind everyday all day long. No need to bring anything bigger than 10m. Rode my 7m pretty much all the time. |

Here is where you will want to stay in the Lake Arenal area. It is really close to where the launch is. Norm is cool and if there is no wind he will take you for some killer mountain biking.
